Ghost Recon: Wildlands is finally getting an online PvP mode called ‘Ghost War’. A beta will be released this summer with the competitive game mode set to go live in autumn.
Ubisoft say “teams will choose from a roster of varied classes that will fill specific roles on the battlefield, as they navigate large-scale, open maps and take down their enemies.”
Ubisoft went on to say “Ghost War will also integrate new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a true military strategic, team-based multiplayer mode.”
Ubisoft will offer the multiplayer mode as a free update. This is a breath of fresh air in a genre of money-hungry first person shooter developers *cough* Infinity Ward *cough*
